ICE HOCKEY

Ice hockey, referred to simply as hockey in Canada, Sweden and the United States, is a team sport played on ice. It is one of the world's fastest sports, with players on skates capable of going high speeds on natural or artificial ice surfaces. Though played on six continents, ice hockey, as a participatory and as a spectator sport, is most popular in nations in which the climate is sufficiently cold as to permit natural, long-term seasonal ice cover; Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Slovakia, Sweden, Russia, and the United States have dominated international competition, claiming 47 of the 48 gold and silver medals awarded in the men's and women's competitions at the Olympic Winter Games.
Ice hockey is one of the four major North American professional sports, represented at the highest level by the National Hockey League. It is the official national winter sport of Canada, where six of the 30 NHL franchises are based; Canadian-born players, though, outnumber American-born players in the NHL by a factor of three (30 per cent, additionally, come from outside North America).
The sport is played on a hockey rink. During normal play, there are six players, five positional players and one goaltender, per team on the ice at any time, each of whom is on ice skates. The objective of the game is to score goals by shooting a hard vulcanized rubber disc, the puck, into the opponent's goal net, with the goal nets placed at opposite ends of the rink. The players may control the puck using a long stick with a blade that is commonly curved at one end. Players may also generally redirect the puck with any part of their bodies, but the kicking of the puck into the goal is prohibited.

CHEMKIN

CHEMKIN is a simulation software used to solve chemical kinetics problems. It is used in microelectronics, chemical, automotive and various other industries. it was originally developed in sandia national laboratories and presently in reaction design. chemkin solves thousands of reaction combinations and helps to understand a particular chemical process though it might involve many sub processes. it is time effecient compared to laboratory processes. this also helps in reducing pollutants that are generated in a real process.
one of the drawbacks of this is it assumes a simple geometry for the dimensions of the reaction vessel which is not the real case. to avoid this KINetics named another software is in conjunction with this.

Books for babies

Reading books is very good than watching TV and CDs for children. sont make your child a couch potato by showing CDs always. its good to show the videos only for 15-30 min in a day. there are good books for even small babies. books from Navneet have thick board like pages which do not get wet even if the baby puts it in mouth. these are easy to handle also. they do all the grouping like animals, birds, vegetables, fruits and colorful also. reading books will always improve the imagination, thinking and memory for the kids.

Games for kids

There is a toddler in my house and i need to think of many games and songs for her. so i thought some of my ideas would be helpful to some moms like me. as they start walking they want to run around the house, so its better if you could make it as a game. Hide and seek can be played. you have to call them as you run and hide so that they do not get afraid and also you can tell where you are by which it is easy to make them know the names of the rooms. as the child finds you give a big clap and appreciate so that it could increase his/ her interest. do some dance movements which they will enjoy and will start imitating. there should be music and dance however it is for them to enjoy. bubble game is also very interesting which you can try in a sit out. make sounds of different animals and show the picture, so that after some they start identifying the picture and will make the sound of that animal. there are many more to find and will tell as i play with my daughter.
